Mokou was born as the daughter of a noble, and was kept sheltered by her father for Mysterious Reasons, but possibly because she was unwanted. Despite this, she loved her father very much. Eventually, he decided to marry a common woman named Kaguya who's beauty was renowned. In truth, Kaguya was a Lunarian, not a human, who had been exiled from the Moon to Earth for the crime of drinking the Hourai Elixir. For the men that seeked her hand in marriage, she set up the Five Impossible Trials, which were...impossible. Mokou's father was utterly humiliated by Kaguya in the course of trying to complete them, and the girl was absolutely furious, learning of Kaguya's true nature and vowing to take revenge before she returned to the moon. However, she was unable to do so, and instead opted to steal the Hourai Elixir that Kaguya had left as a gift for the emperor.

She quickly realized her mistake, knowing that immortality meant she could no longer live among other humans. Her hatred for Kaguya grew, and she wandered the world, unable to die or take her revenge. Eventually, she made her way to Gensokyo, living much in the same way as youkai did. No longer caring about anything, she fit in well in her new home, going a tad insane and doing things like committing murder for the fun of it. As more years passed, she eventually came to terms with her immortality and stopped being a crazy bitch. This was helped along by the return of Kaguya to Earth -- the Lunarian had also decided to make Gensokyo her home, unable to truly stay on the Moon for the same reason Mokou was unable to live among other humans. Her anger and frustrations were directed at that woman, and she was actually happy that the one she hated more than anyone was there, living the same life as her under the same circumstances. Day after day, they clashed and killed each other, with Mokou steadily realizing that there wasn't any point to their conflict anymore -- them hating each other was just a fact of life. It's what they did. Though their fights became less frequent, they never stopped altogether.

Eventually, Mokou settled down in the Bamboo Forest of the Lost, escorting lost humans to the nearby village, and protecting them from youkai. She was mostly a recluse, talking to neither humans or youkai, not even the ones she escorted. Over time, she started to show herself to people more and more often, for Reasons Unknown (but probably related to becoming involved with a half-youkai named Keine, who lived in and also protected the Human Village.).

In general, she's a brash but helpful individual, who does things for the sake of doing them and still has a soft spot for the humans she's distanced herself from. Despite her indifference to most things, she is a bit prone to anger and impatience. She's gotten over pretty much everything in her life, her hatred of Kaguya becoming a comforting routine and a matter of amusement, and anything other than that not mattering much at all.

objective: Picking up and actually enjoying new hobbies! As noted above, she really just does things for the sake of doing them, so this would be rewarded based on doing something, like cooking or writing or SCIENCE!!! and actually sticking with it and doing it on a consistent basis.
